IN-STORE VS ONLINE

Hi, thanks for dropping by.

Over the past forty years Curnow Tennis (named after the original owner Bill Curnow) have built a reputation in the Melbourne tennis community for fitting tennis players to the correct racquet. Bill was a local tennis coach with many aspiring champions as his pupils. After a number of years Bill realized that his pupils were being held back in their development due to inappropiete tennis equipment. Some pupils were  using racquets that were to heavy for them to swing, others were to light, others with the weight balanced in the wrong area of the racquet. All these problems affected the way the pupils swung the racquet which in turn effected their potential development.

So unlike many coaches did at the time, Bill decided to do something about it. He opened Curnow Tennis in Pascoevale. It's from these humble beginnings the Curnow Tennis has grown into 3 stores and become one of Melbourne's leading tennis specialists.

But lets look at the reason you popped by.

"WHY SOMETIMES BUYING INSTORE IS BETTER THAN OVER THE INTERNET"

Playing tennis is such an individual sport. Even though we think we are Roger Federer or Sam Stoser we are not. All tennis companies say there product is the best, that is there job. They want you to purchase a product from their brand and you very well might. At Curnow Tennis we don't believe in brands, in fact we would rather have all the racquets black and you just buy the racquet that performs the best for you on court. Not the racquet your favourite player plays with or your mate in your team said would be good for you. You need to take a few racquets out for a test run. At all Curnow tennis stores we have a demo tennis court that our trained staff (using the same philosophy developed by Bill 40 years ago) will take you out to our demo court and let you try a number of racquets for yourself. As you hit with the different racquets our trained staff will be noting how you swing the racquet, where you make contact with the ball, and finally where that balls lands (sometimes not) in the court. With this information our staff can make suggestions on other racquets that may help you improve your game.
